This was the second Trance cassette, and started to go further out into noisy weirdness than "Fatal Blow". It was recorded and released in 1989, after having been in San Francisco for part of a year (which included the big earthquake that spring).

After arriving in SF, I started working with RE/Search and Survival Research Labs, and found an incredibly healthy experimental music scene. I was getting more inspiration from weirder, noisier guitar-based stuff like Stick Dog, Demo Moe, Missing Foundation, and so on. Side B was one long abstract meandering construction ("Soundtrack for Decay"), using lyrics taken from our old roommate Drew's notebooks, which he kindly loaned me for use. His Residents-inspired rants made for fun juxtapositions with my noises.

On listening back to this, somehow the recording quality is rather worse than the previous cassette, but I've done some work to clean it all up a bit and it's not too bad now. I think I was pushing the old 4-track cassette recorder a bit past its limits.

This was all guitar, bass, drum machine, metal percussion, vocals, and lots of cheap effects. After this cassette I acquired a sampler and things got less noise-rock influenced and more Coil/Foetus-influenced. But still noisy.
