This was the first CD as Trance, and follows pretty naturally from the cassettes that preceded it. These songs combine several threads that were being explored at the time: guitar noise, percussion, and orchestral/soundtrack works. "Dry Heat" is one of the first real guitar noise pieces, "Lore of Ages" shows the "Arrhythmia"-derived interest in rhythm and percussion, and "Cavalry Rescue" is a soundtrack+rhythm experiment that points the way towards some of the music on later CDs.

Originally released in 1991 on CD by Charnel House Productions aka Charnel Music. The two "Live at Olive's" tracks are available on the 2021 CD "Ancient History" from Troniks/Helicopter, remastered and released in full.
